The Moray Piano Competition aims to provide an exciting opportunity for piano students aged 20 and under to perform at national level. Through the generosity of our many private patrons and corporate sponsors, we are able to give financial encouragement to 4 finalists in each class. Established in 1999, the Competition has grown in stature and is now one of the most prestigious events in the country for this age group.

 Moray Piano Competition 2009 will take place on Sat 14th and Sun 15th November in Elgin Town Hall, which houses a magnificent Steinway Grand and has a capacity of around 700.

 

The Competition consists of two stages, both of which are held in Elgin Town Hall and open to the public.

Stage 1 will be the adjudication of all pianists, with four competitors from each age category chosen to compete in the Final.

Stage 2- the Final- will be held on the 15th November 2009. 

 

Entries for the competition should reach us no later than

Saturday 3rd October 2009.
