Graham Scott

Described by Gramophone magazine as ‘an exceptional talent’, British pianist Graham Scott has performed in New York (92nd St. Y), Washington DC (Kennedy Center), Los Angeles (Ambassador Auditorium), Tokyo (Suntory Hall), Paris (Bagatelle) as well as appearances in London at the Wigmore Hall, Royal Festival Hall, Queen Elizabeth Hall and Barbican Centre . He has appeared as soloist with many orchestras notably the London Philharmonic, Royal Liverpool Philharmonic, Royal Scottish National, Monte Carlo Philharmonic, Radio Netherlands Chamber, Belgium National Symphony, Staatsphilharmonie Rheinlandpfalz (replacing Martha Argerich), Cape Town Symphony, Singapore Symphony, St Louis Symphony and the New York Chamber Symphony with such conductors as Sir Charles Groves, Marin Alsop, Alexander Lazarev, Barry Wordsworth, Gregorz Nowak, Bernhard Klee and Paul Daniel. As a chamber musician he has worked with players from the Australian Chamber Orchestra, violinist Olivier Charlier, cellist Henri Demarquette, the Vertavo String Quartet and the Galliard Wind Quintet. His discography includes CD’s of works by Scriabin, Gershwin, Macmillan and a live recital CD from Los Angeles. He has given numerous broadcasts on BBC Radio and National Public Radio in the USA. Graham Scott is head of keyboard studies at the RNCM and artistic director of the James Mottram International Piano Competition. He has previously held the positions of visiting lecturer in keyboard studies at the RSAMD in Glasgow and head of piano at the Chicago College of Performing Arts at Roosevelt University. He is an honorary member of the European Piano.
