The Competition is open to pianists aged 20 and under

Timings of
all works to be played must be stated accurately and strictly adhered to.
Photocopies of the music should be submitted with the application form
Finalists in Spynie and Cathedral classes will perform the
same programme as in the preliminary round but those in Speyside may
change one piece provided they bring a copy of their new piece for
the adjudicators.

The playing order of the competitors will be determined by
ballot before the first stage. In the final stage the order may be changed
for reasons of programme planning.

Competitors who are not ready to perform when called upon
to do so may be disqualified.

The prizes awarded by the adjudicators will be based on
performances in both stages. Their decision is final.

Any competitor who makes an attempt, or on whose behalf an
attempt is made, to communicate with an adjudicator may be disqualified.

Rights in any Competition performance, recordings or films,
belong to the Competition and no fee is payable to any competitor on
account of these performances or any recordings or broadcasts of them.
Entry Fee

A non-returnable entry fee of £15 (fifteen pounds sterling)
must be submitted with the application form. Cheques must be made
payable to “The Moray Piano Festival Trust” |
Applications
| The Application Form,
duly completed and appropriately stamped must reach The Administrator
Moray Piano Competition, 15 Drumduan Gardens, Forres, Moray IV36 1BX no
later than Saturday 2nd October 2010 with the following enclosures: |

1.
Photographs : Two passport photographs of
the applicant. As these photographs may be used for press and programme
reproduction, it is important that they are not pinned or stapled to the
application form. Please write your name lightly on the back. |

2.
Proof of age : A photocopy of the
applicant’s birth certificate or passport must be enclosed as evidence
of date of birth |
|
3.
Programme : Applicants must submit copies
of the music they have chosen. |
|
4.
